Funny phone company

I have to share something funny because it made me laugh out loud....I received a phone call from Verizon wanting to sell me a new phone package. I could tell the guy was new and I always listen to thier spiel...anyway, he mentioned that I have "cancel call waiting" on my phone service right now...so I asked...silly me, what exactly is cancel call waiting? He explains to me, and I kid you not..."when you're talking with someone on the other line and you hang up, you've cancelled the call"....to which I stated, "aren't you canceling the call by simply hanging up anyway????" and he said, "well, yes"...and I laughed out loud....so, apparently, those of us with Verizon are now paying for a service that allows us to hang up and "cancel" our call....this isn't as funny when I write it, and I'm realizing that it's probably a "you had to be there" moment...but I thought I'd share anyway....Anyone read the book "Good Grief"? It's a great book and I really liked her writing style...so I guess this is practice. Thanks for the time....peace!!!
